Andrew and Gio’s wedding was one of the most magical, dramatic, and lovely events I’ve had the pleasure to be a part of (and I can only imagine how fun it must have been for the guests!). The two were wed at a lovely farm in Snohomish, Washington in September. Their ceremony, draped in electric purple skies and punctuated with tremendous claps of thunder, only inspired guests to laugh louder and cheer harder as the couple read their heartfelt and hilariously practical vows to one another. It started to pour right as the ceremony ended, but guests were handed umbrellas (and cocktails) and everybody had a blast going on a Passport-guided scavenger hunt throughout the property checking off to-do items like visiting the photobooth, playing lawn games, and sampling some of the farm’s fresh-made cheeses. The grooms wanted to incorporate their love of maps and games in to many of the wedding day details and did so with items like the aforementioned Passport maps/Scavenger Hunt game, a custom cootie-catcher that served as escort card, menu, and trivia game, the use of Jenga blocks as a guestbook, and many other fun past-times strewn around the farm (boccie, ladder golf, corn hole, a photobooth, and on and on!). Many, many thanks to Barbie Hull Photography for her talented eye, to Ravishing Radish for supplying an endless smorgasbord of delicious comfort foods, Harold Belskus for his amazingly talented guitar playing, Sonando Cuban Band for making dinner an unstoppable dance party, KEXP’s very own DJ Larry for keeping the late night party going, BHVDesign Lab for the beautiful printed materials including invites, passports, cootie catchers and signs galore, and both HoneyCrumb Cake Studio & A La Mode Pies for adding the sweet treats! It was truly a lovely team of people to accompany A Kurant Event in helping those grooms celebrate in style!
I’m not the only one smitten with this one! Seattle Met Bride & Groom decided to spotlight Andrew and Gio’s big day in their Real Weddings feature! To hear more from the Grooms about their wedding, check it out HERE!
