Cecily and Andres celebrated their water-loving wedding this summer in perfect Pacific Northwest style at Cecily’s family home on Lake Sammamish. Each wanted to incorporate elements of each other’s roots as well as quirky touches that reflected the pair as a couple and it was especially fun to blend all these elements to create a homey, comfortable, classy August wedding. The venue was a special one: not only was it the home Cecily grew up in, but was also the very spot her parents were wed over 30 years prior. The food, carefully selected to reflect her Pacific Northwest heritage as well as Andres’s Argentinian roots, included fresh salmon and local produce as well as an Argentinian-style chargrilled BBQ with chimichurri sauce and regionally popular ham and cheese empanadas. The couple also included their quirky love of Legos, travel (specifically their love of exotic and domestic bodies of water), and DIY projects including the beautiful hand-painted signage & family tree. With the lovely weather, the bride was able to further incorporate her love of the water by arriving by vintage boat with her father!
In addition to A Kurant event, an all-star team of vendors came together to help make the day lovely, including: Jenny Jimenez Photography, City Catering, Seattle Parties, Finch & Thistle, Royal Restrooms, A la Mode Pies and Whole Foods Bakery!
